On Monday 19 September, Linda Snoek started as general director of the Diamond Museum Amsterdam. She thereby succeeds Robert Tamara, who founded the museum in 2007 and over the past 15 years has developed it into the diamond museum of Europe.

Linda Snoek (1989) has a rich CV in both the cultural and tourism sectors. After studying Museology at the Amsterdam School of the Arts, she held various positions in the cultural sector at the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, among others. In this capacity, her responsibilities included the realisation of new communication strategies and the further development of the national and international sales & marketing activities of both museums. She also has extensive experience within press & publicity. Highlights were the (re)opening of the Rijksmuseum (2013), the relocation of the Van Gogh Museum to the Hermitage (2012) and the many exhibitions such as Late Rembrandt (2015). In addition, Linda gained extensive experience in the commercial sector in recent years at Tiqets, an online booking platform for museums & attractions. As Regional Manager, she led the Benelux team and, alongside several projects, was responsible for expanding and improving the region.
